Well things are coming together nicely, after a small adjustment to the system to allow 1024 images to be loaded (not that we would require that many just thinking ahead) I have managed to load in the font for another game we have in the pipeline (this one is for Mac/Windows/Linux/iPhone) the font looks amazing in the new system but for one thing the background isnt alphaed so its shows up I will be working on this and then I can move on to other sections of the game.

To load a font its simply: LoadFont( fontname, width, height, count );

then you initialise the font with SetupFont( width, charlist ); and its ready

the charlist is simply where the characters are in the image so if it was A-Z, a-z, 0-9 it would be "ABC.....9" :), simple enough and it will allow me easy access to any font we want for any future product :).
