Big output today

Today, I sent quite a bit to play with to Ed, including GUI graphics and ingame elements.I hope he likes them, I have such good feelings for this game !
Its very fun to play already, its challenging, its rewarding. Its also a bit of nostalgia, and still can be a fun time for anybody.
Oh, and its no FarmVille clone ;)

Ed:All the graphics Emm sent me are amazing as always I will add all the graphics that I have and update the engine. I have added libPNG, zLib and ENet to the Tombstone engine these will be used by the Win32, OSX and Linux versions of Tombstone.

Gamedesign and Development

Currently we are developing on several fronts at the same time.
I am doing graphics and concepts for different games, and we discuss game design related issues, like "open world" systems, social platforming, saving, skills, stats and of course the fact that we want a solid base for all our games so that we have a versatile frame/engine which is so flexible that only basic minor things must be adapted.
Ideally, the TOMBSTONE engine will allow us to do everything we want, be it 2d or 3d, in a minimum of time while beeing scalable from iPhone over iPad to Mac, Xbox and Wii if necessary.
Ed works to get the 3D part functional, by also incorporating a pipeline to the 3D package I use mainly, LightWave3D .
On the game design front, we are working towards playable prototypes to test mechanics and gameplay ideas quickly and throw away what we don't like or what doesn't work. Our third and fourth game will set the base for future franchises on which we will expand into different genres, like RPG, Action, Adventure and Strategy.
As our list of project ideas is pretty large, we will see which platforms are most suited for any of our games.
Stay tuned for news. You haven't seen nothing yet :)

Its coming together

Just played the latest build of our new game, and it really comes together wonderfully. It also has that excellent mix of intro anim and menu that I love.I hear already the title tune in my head :)
Last night Ed and I  exchanged memories of games we used to play and love, and I guess we have planned "the next big thing".
Sooner or later You will find our games on any platform we can support, Xbox360 included.
The future is bright.
Stay tuned.
